Corn Chowder

This is one of my favourite things to make in August. It really only tastes great with fresh corn cut right from the cob. It is also a very simple “recipe of ones”.

– one cob of corn, cut from the cob

  • one slice of bacon, cut up
  • one fresh jalapeño, chopped and seeded
  • one slice of red onion, chopped
  • one tsp of flour
  • one cup of milk

Add bacon to a cold pan and set to medium heat. wait for the bacon to brown and stir every so often so it doesn’t burn. Drain out most of the fat (or as much as you can get out easily) and add in the corn, jalapeño, and onion. Stir for a minute, and add in the flour. Stir for another minute. Add the milk, and stir for one final minute. Enjoy 🙂
